As Acquisition Costing Leader, you play a critical role during the project acquisition phase. You are responsible for evaluating the technical and economic feasibility of customer requests and formalizing costed proposals that align with business goals. You will collaborate closely with cross-functional teams to develop innovative and competitive solutions for our clients.
Key Responsibilities:
- Analyze and assess customer requirements and RFQs (Requests for Quotation)
- Coordinate with internal departments (e.g., Quality, Logistics, Purchasing) to gather technical and financial inputs
- Evaluate the feasibility of customer projects in terms of cost, timeline, and technical complexity
- Define and quantify the resources required (man-hours, investments, tools, etc.)
- Prepare detailed project costings, including products, processes, tooling, and engineering activities
- Present and explain costing files and technical proposals to internal stakeholders and customers
- Facilitate acquisition phase meetings and ensure alignment across departments
- Suggest technical or process alternatives to improve the quality/cost/timing balance
- Continuously update and improve costing databases and tools based on project feedback and learnings
