Project Director (M/F)

RESPONSABILITIES

At the Technical Direction, you will report to the Project, Process & Costing Director. You will oversee all organizational, budgetary, logistical, and operational aspects of international projects from business award to transfer to the plant. Acting at the highest level to facilitate exchanges between internal departments and customers, you will ensure the sustainability of projects, process performance, compliance to standards and with contractual commitments and targets (quality, cost, and deadlines) agreed with our customers. In detail, you are responsible for:
• Supporting the sales, costing, and project quality teams during the project acquisition step
• Negotiating project implementation conditions with customer in terms of feasibility (product, process…)
• Ensuring compliance with contractual commitments agreed with customer (quality, cost, deadlines)
• Managing project-related activities, as well as pre-series logistics and assembly
• Coordinating the efforts of different departments and ensuring smooth functioning of multidisciplinary project teams
• Leading project progress meetings
• Monitoring project performance and economic results (margins, termination costs, budgets, KPIs…)
• Contributing to the technical centers’ budget planning
• Defining organization, procedures, methodologies, and project management tools
• Capitalizing on from-projects feedback
• Providing high-level consolidated tracking of project progress (technical reviews, economic and budgetary status, timeline adherence, procedural compliance, challenges, deviations, and associated action plans)
• Communicating with internal and external stakeholders about project progress (monthly meetings, activity reviews, reporting…)
• Reporting to the branch management on project progress and any difficulties encountered
• Managing project-level risks (identification, analysis, mitigation actions…)
• Acting at the escalation level 2 for projects (support and increased activity monitoring, participation in escalation meetings, defining mobilized resources, reporting…)
To achieve your mission, you will manage teams (approximately 25 people) dedicated to project management as well as logistics and pre-series assembly. As a manager, you will lead and develop these teams through various processes in the Branch (recruitment, skills development, communication, annual appraisal, setting objectives…). Regular travel to our customercustomers and our sites (plants and technical centers) is required.

PROFILE

Holding a master’s degree in Project Management or a General Engineering degree, you have at least 10 years of experience in project management within the automotive industry.

You have an excellent knowledge of related standards, processes, and customer requirements.

Your ability to adopt and implement strategic orientations in project management is essential to your frontline managerial role in our technical centers.

Your proven leadership enables you to mobilize teams in a demanding and challenging environment.

Your mastery of budgetary elements and project performance allows you to make pragmatic and well-argued decisions, integrating operational constraints and customer expectations.
Your proactive approach, adaptability, and persuasive skills are additional assets that will contribute to your success in this role.

Given the international scope of this position, a fluent level of English is required. Proficiency in German would be particularly
appreciated.
