Branch Costing Manager (France-Châteauroux / Slovakia-Košice / Germany-Würzburg )

OUR SITE
Our 4 technical centers in France, Romania, Germany, and Slovakia employ 300 people dedicated to research, development, and testings for all units in the plastics and leather division and host support functions for the Branch.
As the historical Technical Center of the Group, the Châteauroux site brings together 180 employees and plays a central role in the management and coordination of activities. A hub of technical expertise, it also hosts several support functions serving the entire Branch.

ACTIVITIES
Within a Technical Center and reporting directly to the Technical Director, you lead all costing activities for all customers, from the acquisition phase to the production life phase. You contribute to the definition of the branch costing strategy, ensure its operational implementation, and manage budget allocation for projects on which the company is appointed.

In detail, you are responsible for :
• Managing teams dedicated to costing activities (recruitment, support, skills development, communication, setting goals…)
• Analyzing potential risks (innovation, charge, economic, technical, operational, etc.) in the context of new business
• Formulating technical and economic hypotheses/proposals based on the industrial model
• Distributing customer accounts and workload among teams
• Defining costing operations and procedures
• Managing the costing activity (prioritize, identify opportunities and inconsistencies within the RFQ framework)
• Developing competitive strategies for calls for tender
• Making the necessary trade-offs in terms of cost control and technologies to be mobilized
• Explaining the construction of costings to internal and external customers
• Proposing alternative solutions to improve the quality/cost/time ratio, taking environmental impact into account
• Capitalizing on experience feedback (lesson learn) from departments involved in projects and production
• Providing management and the various departments with visibility on the load/capacity potential of the technical centers
• Leading coordination meetings during the business acquisition phase
• Supporting management and department heads in making organizational decisions (cost impact, resource allocation, etc.)
• Participating in Technical Center budgeting

To achieve your mission, you will manage teams (approximately 25 people) dedicated to defining technical and economic solutions for customers, located. As a manager, you will lead and develop these teams through various processes in the branch (recruitment, skills development, communication, annual appraisal, setting objectives…). Regular travel to our clients and our sites (plants and technical centers) is required.
